Briefing Reports
West Midlands Rural Affairs Forum is committed to developing coherent strategies for the rural areas of our region, as a group of rural stakeholders who seek to ensure that rural issues remain on the agenda of regional policy makers. We achieve this through quarterly meetings, a web-based information network, our annual conference, specialist seminars, and through resourcing our members to use their networks and their good offices.

Briefing Report 1: Sustainable Energy Sources
The West Midlands Rural Affairs Forum organised its first Specialist Seminar focussing on sustainable energy sources on Thursday 8 th June 2006 at Belmont Abbey in Hereford . It drew together specialists and Forum Members from across the West Midlands region with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of sustainable energy and to assist in the production of a Forum Briefing Report that would be influential within the West Midlands Region.

Briefing Report 2: Engaging the Local Government White Paper
The Local Government White Paper was the topic for the second of the Forums specialist seminars which took place on Friday 8th December 2006. The seminar provided members with an opportunity to discuss the implications of the White Paper.
